Testimonials

My brothers and I hired Barbara’s firm to advise my parents and revise their outdated, out-of-state wills. We attended the free informational presentation, then Barbara and Bryson met with us at no charge to review the old wills and advise us on short and long-term planning. They presented the revisions prior to our second meeting for our review, then met us for the signing with no waiting or surprises. The part where we felt like Barbara earned her money was in dealing with our Dad, who was ornery and somewhat oppositional. She clearly explained each section of the new wills, why changes were made, and what each change would mean. She answered his questions respectfully and thoughtfully, to his apparent satisfaction. We were charged exactly what we expected to pay. (Full disclosure: I do IT work for Barbara as a contractor. I chose to work with her because I saw how well they treated clients who were sometimes there when I was working, and because of the competence and professionalism I witnessed from her staff)

“My mother’s estate received a class action suit settlement,  Barbara’s office kept us informed every step of the way through this tedious process – I don’t know how we would have made it without them.”

“Thank you for the help with my getting my mother qualified for TennCare  and for untangling the real estate problems with her estate after she passed.  Bryson and Lane at your office have been a blessing.  I refer people to you whenever I can.”

I was very pleased with the work that Barbara Moss did in getting my father’s estate through probate. Barbara and her paralegal were easy to communicate with and Barbara did an excellent job explaining the process to me at the outset. I live in Maryland and my parents had real estate in Tennessee and it was great to have a lawyer in Nashville who was efficient, effective and who kept me informed.

Hiring Elder Law of Nashville was one of the smartest decisions our family ever made. We came to Barbara Moss and her firm after an unsuccessful and nightmarish attempt to navigate the TennCare Medicaid system on our own. Our story is like that of many other families with elderly parents. My father suffers from Lewy Body Dementia and could no longer be cared for at home. My parents were struggling financially just to pay their bills and did not have the means to cover the cost of long term care. Yet my father was turned down for Medicaid on his initial application. We came to Barbara Moss desperate for legal advice and help. Barbara and her Public Benefits Specialist, Bryson Eubanks, seemed to feel our pain and frustration and went right to work for us. They reapplied with TennCare for Medicaid and filed an appeal to dispute the original denial. During this process, the Elder Law team was always there for us when we had questions or needed legal counsel. I mean ALWAYS because Bryson even returned one of my many phone calls from his vacation. Our family was thrilled when we got the news from our lawyers that our second Medicaid application had been approved. We felt the weight of the world lifted off our shoulders when we found out the appeal had been settled prior to the hearing date. Elder Law of Nashville got our family the help we so desperately needed to take care of our father. Their efforts on our behalf changed our lives. We encourage anyone in need of a legal champion to hire their services. Elder Law of Nashville will fight for you, and they will win for you!

My mother moved to Tennessee to be closer to my sister, when we needed help with her care we hired Barbara Moss and have been very happy with the legal services provided by her and her office staff. If you want a caring, understanding lawyer to help you and your family through the process of elder care assistance or planning you need to hire Barbara Moss.

Ms Moss updated & tweaked our wills with an approachable demeanor, knowledgeable suggestions & unquestionable experience in the legal realm….quite the consummate professional!

I hired Barbara to help me with estate planning. Great knowledgeable and sincere. Also directed me to other areas for what I will need as I get older. Her work is fantastic. One less major hurdle.in my life I know longer have to loose sleep.over. thank you Barbara.

I recently experienced a death in my family. I sent Barbara a text regarding a legal issue and she responded to me even while she was on vacation! I would absolutely recommend her.

Barbara Moss has assisted my family in the TN Care Application process for my mother. Additionally she has made certain that our family has the correct legal documents in place. She is very easy to talk to, provides excellent counsel, and is very prompt in answering phone calls and e-mails. I would whole heartedly recommend her legal services. She and her staff give each client excellent support.

I’ll admit I was jaded in my search for an Attorney. My attitude changed when I met Barbara. The caliber of professionalism, and her unique ability to become genuinely immersed in my case was inspiring. Helen Keller once said,” The best and most beautiful thing in the world cannot be seen or touched, they must be felt with the heart.” Attorney Moss demonstrated a level of commitment and compassion that blew me away. I will always be grateful to Attorney Moss because she restored something that I had lost,”hope.” I’m so glad I had Attorney Moss on my side, because when you think about it, it’s hard to beat a person who never gives up. She is a fighter.

I met Barbara Moss in June 2012. My dad was being taken advantage of and I needed to step in. From the moment I met Barbara I could tell she was a caring and compassionate person. I am very pleased with the work Barbara has done and I am very thankful for all the support she has given me. The decision to move dad to assisted living has been one of the most difficult decisions I have ever had to make. Throughout this process Barbara has kept me on track and focused on what needed to done. I will always be grateful.

Thank you for making our experience easy.  All of us appreciate your time and attention to [our mother].  It was a pleasure to meet you and I will gladly refer anyone to you.  You are wonderful!

Barbara Moss has turned an anticipated very tough situation involving elder care law into a manageable, positive outcome. Barbara’s knowledge and organizational skills about this area of law are exactly what we needed. She also explained the cost of her services very well and I feel her fees were very reasonable. I would highly recommend Barbara Moss for any elder care law need.

Fortunately, someone recommended Barbara Moss’ name, an exceptional elder law attorney. . . .Her calming demeanor and willingness to listen brought knowledgeable solutions.  My grateful thanks to Barbara Moss for allaying my
concerns and for being there.

Thank you so much for everything that you did with [our son’s] estate.  You assistance was invaluable… you saved us many hours of headaches and heartaches….

I was introduced to Barbara Moss by another attorney who could not handle the issue I had. That introduction was pivotal in a two year long ordeal. Not only did she lead me through the complexity of an emergency conservatorship, she also navigated me through the estate settlement. Without her guidance, I would have been at a huge disadvantage in the process. I do not live in Tennessee and yet Barbara and her staff were easily accessible and responsive. Barb took it upon herself to listen to the personal side of the issues and I needed that. She also made me laugh when things were darkest which meant the most. I am thankful to have been referred to her.

When a loved one passes it is hard to navigate what has to be done. I had talked to a few attorneys and was frightened by the obvious misinformation and money-grubbing I heard in a first conversation. Ms. Moss was different. From our first conversation I was confident with her knowledge and common sense. I finally feel a sense of relief and would recommend her to anyone!

Barbara Moss while highly regarded and professional, also brings the “human” side to the equation. In October, a lawyer (who again, said they couldn’t help me) referred me to Ms. Moss with, “if I were you, I’d discuss with Barbara Moss. She’s the most knowledgeable, highly regarded and preeminent Elder Law attorney in Nashville.” During our initial meeting, she put me @ ease with her knowledge but even more importantly her “warmth” and professionalism. With a spouse too young for medicare and given the run around by TN Care; I had become distraught as his sole 24/7 caretaker and no family. Immediately, Barbara took charge! She’s your fierce advocate! Things began to be done, calls returned and appointments made where I had for months been unable to get any answers/assistance. Finally felt someone actually “cared” and was on my side. Never felt “rushed” by Barbara. While I know she has many clients – while in her office or on the phone;, she made sure I understand the ins and outs of the legalities, terminologies, and explored all avenues to arrive at the best possible outcome. Elder Law is a specialty you don’t want a “newbie” doing for you. Her advising me every step of the way has been a blessing. I can concentrate on the task at hand; being the sole caretaker for my spouse 24/7. I know Barbara has the professionalism to vet everything. She also has the “humanity” to consider it’s your life, your loved one. Want the best outcome for your loved ones and for your own planning? Then Barbara Moss is the lawyer to advise you. While mine is a complicated ongoing problematic case; yours doesn’t have to be. Preplan while you are healthy and before it becomes “necessary.” Before you’re in my position of desperation: I recommend you see Barbara Moss as soon as possible. If you are unfortunate enough to be where I am: see her today and waste no time with other attorneys!

I REQUESTED SERVICES OF BARBARA TO MAKE CHANGES IN MY WILL. I FOUND HER TO BE VERY PROFESSIONAL, DEPENDABLE, AND AN EXCELLENT RESOURCE IN NOT ONLY ANSWERING QUESTIONS ABOUT MY WILL BUT ALSO GAVE ME REFERRALS FOR OTHER NEEDS. SHE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ESPECIALLY AS IT RELATES TO NEEDS OF SENIORS.
